Get Paid to Retire Holdings

How the Process Works

Five steps. No bank financing, no private equity, no bidding war. Just a fair deal with a partner who plans to run what you built.

1

Free Assessment & Valuation

We start with a conversation, not a contract. You tell us about the business, and we give you an honest estimate of what it's worth and what your retirement income could realistically look like.

2

We Learn Your Business

Before we ever take over, we spend real time alongside you — learning your customers, your crew, your systems, and everything that makes the business run. Some businesses take longer than others; we go at the pace yours actually needs. Nothing changes overnight.

3

We Step In to Carry It Forward

Once the transition is ready, we step into the day-to-day — the crews, the scheduling, the customers, the bills — and keep it running the way you built it. Your team stays, your customers stay, and the business stays itself. You step back.

4

You Receive Monthly Income From the Profits

Instead of a single lump sum, you receive regular payments drawn from the business's ongoing profits — the arrangement is spelled out in writing before we start.

5

Full Ownership Transfers Over Time

As payments are made, ownership transfers to us in full, on the schedule we agreed to at the start. This isn't a corporate takeover — the business keeps its name, its people, and its place in the community. There are no surprises at the end.

What Is Seller Financing, In Plain English?

Seller financing simply means you get paid over time instead of all at once. Rather than a buyer borrowing a lump sum from a bank and handing it to you on closing day, you receive payments directly out of the business's future profits.

For a lot of owners, that's actually the better outcome: steadier income, often more total money over time, and none of the pressure of figuring out what to do with a giant check the week you retire.

Depending on the structure you choose, that income can come as even monthly payments, growth payments tied to the business's future performance, or a combination of both. And because there's no broker commission or bank financing costs eating into the deal, your final price is often higher than a traditional sale. See the full seller financing guide →

“What If the Business Struggles After I Leave?”

It's the question every owner asks first. Here's the honest answer:

We only take on businesses with the systems, staff, and customer relationships to run without you day to day — that's part of what the Free Assessment checks for. And because we're the ones running it, we have every incentive to keep it healthy: our own payments depend on it too.

Beyond that, we bring something most buyers simply don't have: a team of experienced entrepreneurs and operators who have not only run service businesses — they've started them from zero and grown them to seven figures. That's not a credential on paper. It means we know what routes look like when they're breaking down, how to hold onto a technician in a tight labor market, how to keep a commercial account when the owner who landed it is no longer walking through the door. We've solved these problems in businesses we built ourselves.

Financial buyers hire managers. We are operators. That difference is what keeps the businesses we take on running the way you built them — not because we hope the staff figures it out, but because we already know how.

Traditional Sale vs. Get Paid to Retire

Traditional Sale / Broker / PE

  • One lump sum, one large tax bill
  • Listed publicly alongside other businesses for sale
  • Buyer often plans to resell within a few years
  • Broker fees, typically 8–12% of sale price
  • No say in what happens to employees

Get Paid to Retire Holdings

  • Monthly income, spread tax impact
  • Private, direct conversation — no public listing
  • We plan to run the business long term, like family
  • No broker fees
  • Employees and customers stay exactly in place
